Inspire With Style

I just finished doing a web-blog for Andrea of Inspire With Style and I have to say that I LOVE this look that Andrea helped me create. Andrea wanted a classy look for her Vinyl Designs- you should definitely check them out- I want one for our entryway and there are so many samples to choose from!

Anyway, it took a while to get just the right look. I think we had to remind each other not to give up and that we would find something amazing.:) Then I called her over the phone to brainstorm about what look she was envisioning. This was the first time that I actually called a customer instead of relying solely on emails. Well, she didn't give up on me and I think we got the look just right! I really like the background and the navigation bar on the side for a change.

Go take a look at what Inspire With Style has to offer for your home today. There are samples of each room on the side under "Room Gallery" and her Wedding Vinyl is all the rage.

Thank you for letting me be a part of Inspire With Style, Andrea.

I Love Me Some Mikey!

My sweet little friend, Michael Ann wanted a blog redesign forever ago and finally gave me the go-ahead! YEA!! I LOVE, LOVE MIKEY- she is one of the sweetest people I have come across and is always SO perky! I definitely draw inspiration from her and how much joy she spreads everyday!

Michael Ann and I met at Harding. I was an RA- can you believe that? Me? Little Miss "I hate rules" was an RA!! (Turns out it was one of the best jobs EVER!!) Anyway, she and another Freshman were added to my hall at the last minute and she immediately lit up my life! I always had so much fun when she was around and enjoyed giving her pink slips when she came in 5 minutes late from hanging out with the love of her life, Wade! She was in my wedding and has been very supportive in helping me with Riley. Now, she and her sweet little family are only minutes away from us.

Check out this pic that she posted of us! Isn't she beautiful?? I remember that I had an eye infection and had to take one contact out right before the wedding. My right eye is red and swollen here! ha-ha

In case you couldn't figure it out, I LOVE Michael Ann! Mikey, I am SO glad that you let me make a little somein' for ya! Go to her site and also check out her latest post and her cute little boy, Carson's haircut. He did it himself! ha-ha

Also, I want to thank everyone for the nominations for the February make-over. I read each comment and visited each persons' blog and am deciding on who I am going to choose at the moment. Lots of these ladies have inspirational stories and I wish I could redesign a blog for each of them. I can only do one at this time, though. I will announce soon...

Giving Back & Nominate Someone

Each month I try to pick someone who I really admire or that has done something to catch my eye and do a courtesy blog for them. This month, I chose my blogger friend, Leigh Ann from Horton Happenings. I met Leigh Ann through another blogger friend and I have to say that we clicked instantly! This girl is da bomb! Do people still say that?

Leigh Ann is a mother of two and is a military wife. Her husband, Derek, spent 15 months in Iraq as a helicopter pilot, flying Medevac missions in a Blackhawk. I can't imagine my husband being gone from our family. It takes a strong woman to endure that lifestyle and I admire her greatly for that.

Leigh Ann and I have something else in common. Her son has been diagnosed with Autism. Evan is the cutest, smartest little boy I have had the pleasure of reading about. He reminds me of my Riley in so many ways. Leigh Ann has lifted me up with her kind words several times throughout the year.

Last July, Leigh Ann prepared a speech and spoke at the Capital about how ABA should be offered to all kids with Autism. At the end of her speech, she closed with these words that give me chills and make me want to hug her.

"In closing, I want to mention I have two heroes in my life. One fought for freedom for our country and one fights for freedom from Autism every day."

I was really proud to be able to give something to this extremely giving and courageous friend. You are an inspiration to a lot of people everyday, Leigh Ann. I hope to finally meet you some day and hug you- one autism mom to another.

If you have a friend or blogger friend that you think deserves a redesign, let me know and I will consider them for my February courtesy blog. I would love to know why you are nominating them.

December Blog Winner

I was delighted to redesign this gal's blog. Dallas is witty, easy-going, and she loves to blog. Every time I look at her blog she has written a new post. Dedication, people!

She loved the Twirl kit and wanted fun and bright. Aren't her two girls adorable? I also rocked a new design on her and loved it so much that I redesigned my family blog.

Here is Happenings From Our Heart. Click on the image to go to the website.

My Tiny Sweet Cheeks

I just finished a great blog for Bobbi Lee at My Tiny Sweet Cheeks. She specializes in unique, one-of-a-kind diaper cakes perfect for any baby shower or new mom. You can design your own diaper cake package or she has many examples to chose from. Personally, I love the Posh Princess 3-tiered diaper cake. Cute, cute, cute!!

She has also branched out and is making other baby accessories and even has some Mom Gear! I kinda wish I was having a baby! :)

Bobbi Lee was great to work with and she chose a really cool digital kit. I love the navigation bar- they almost look like little bibs!

So, if you need a shower gift or know a new mommy who needs some love, visit My Tiny Sweet Cheeks and Bobbi Lee will take excellent care of you!

ACU In Latin America- Que Bueno!

I had the privileged honor to work with Abilene Christian University and their Study Abroad program. Corey P. contacted me about doing a blog for two students who are in Latin America this semester. I was beyond thrilled to embark upon this awesome opportunity and help them out with an extra sweet blog rather than the ordinary ones that blogger supplies us with. No offense, Blogger! :)

The girls are adorable and look like they are having so much fun! Here is the blog that the girls labeled Lista Para Asombrar (Ready To Amaze) that I put together for them. Of course, we had to incorporate purple in there for those ACU fans. (I'm dying not to mention the fact that I went to Harding and it's a great school, too!)

Here's to every one of my friends that attended ACU- and there are ALOT of them!! Also, thanks to Honey for giving Corey P. my name. I owe you a steak dinner, girl!!

Contest Winner Blog!!

I just uploaded my contest winner- Chelle's new blog tonight. She is the Creative Momma with an awesome blog full of creative ideas and I have to say- I LOVE IT!! She picked Bella from The Shabby Shoppe, which is what my blog is- and she loved all the things that I didn't use so they don't look alike at all. Who knows- after Christmas, my blog will probably look totally different- again! I can't help it- it's a sickness- I LOVE change!!

I really enjoyed working with Chelle. She was excited about the blog and loved everything that I did. She is also expecting and going through a rough time with nausea so give her some love! :)

Thanks to all those who entered the contest! I got so much love from that contest- I really want to do another one soon!!!!

This is the new design that I am rocking. You really have to click on the header to see the whole thing put together. I did one for Life's A Hoot and this is just the second one that I have done. I love experimenting and if you have an "out of the box" idea for me, just let me know!

I am having so much fun building my portfolio. It's hard to believe that I just started doing this just 5 short months ago. My next step is creating websites for small businesses. I don't know if I am ready for all the busyness that goes with all this but for right now- I feel blessed! Thank you to all that support me! :)

Life's A Hoot

I just finished a blog that is SO different from all the rest that I have done! Andreah from Life's a Hoot, let me experiment on her blog and I hope she loves it as much as I do!

Andreah picked out a kit from Amanda Dykan called Harvest Moon and the kit was all owls and extremely cute paper! I was a little overwhelmed at first- I wanted to use all the papers and elements!! But, I only used the things that Andreah wanted and she was so great to work with! In the end, I had to take out my crazy, big side buttons for something smaller that Andreah was comfortable with but overall the blog turned out great!! You should really visit if you want to see how awesome it is in person. She's also just starting out and would love the company!:)

Here's a little sneak peek:

FYI- I will be unavailable until Friday! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! :)

Tales of the Zookeeper

I had the esteemed privilege to get to redesign one of the most respected of all bloggers! Tales From The Zookeeper is a family that started blogging first in our church group. They have been consistently blogging for over three and a half years and have many followers and fans. Kristen is a trend setter and one of the sweetest and most creative girls that you will ever meet. Her two boys are adorable and she is going to be adding a third boy to their family this spring.

I love what she picked out for her blog and once I designed it, her sweet husband took the code and placed it in their blog himself so I was able to rest a little easier. She wanted the header and main space a little bit larger and I think it looks great! This is one of those blogs where I know that she will take good care of my design and blog many exciting times to come!

Check out her cute site today. You will be reading for hours........

Honey's House

I had the great pleasure of working on one of my close friends' blog this week. Stephanie, call her Honey, is currently living in London with her family and wanted a blog to reflect their London Life. She knew what she wanted and we worked great together. Her blog reflects her- funky and fresh! She definitely wasn't afraid to add color and style and we came up with a great blog for her to show off all her family's travels and adventures. Check out the adorable princess and dashing prince on her sidebar. I also love the crown signature. It shows exactly who is in charge there in London!

Thank you, Stephanie, for letting me create a London blog just for you! I miss you so much but know that y'all are having a blast and will be home very soon!

FYI- when they return home later this year Stephanie is one of the most talented seamstresses I know. She embroiders monograms and names and such on just about anything you can imagine.  She has a website and when she is back and ready, I'll post it here.

Molly's Mom

I just finished a blog that was maybe the biggest challenge for me yet. Molly's Mom knew what she wanted and was a very detailed person. Me, not so much. So, it took me a couple of tries to get it right and in the process, I learned a couple of new things that I had never tried before. So, for that I thank Molly's Mom and I hope she loves her blog. She also has one of the cutest girls that I have ever seen! I am so glad that she was patient with me through my walking pneumonia and our dog eating chocolate and having to be rushed to the animal hospital! It was quite a week and it's only Tuesday!

THREE MORE DAYS OF THE OLD PRICING!!!

Also, leave me a message in November to be entered in a FREE BLOG MAKEOVER!!

Raspberry Lemonade

I just finished one of the cutest blogs ever! I think I say that with each one I do!!:)

Yvonne at Raspberry Lemonade asked me to do a business blog for them and I loved the kit from The Shabby Shoppe that she picked. It's called Twirl and it's SO girly!! LOVE it!

So in between looking for a house in NW Arkansas, sitting on an airplane, realtors coming and going in our own house, cleaning out the garage, and painting, I finished their blog and I am really happy with it. Yvonne was also extra patient with me when I couldn't be reached because of wireless problems at the hotel.

So here it is. Stop by Raspberry Lemonade and check them out!

Two Before I Go......

I had the pleasure of doing two blogs for two fabulous gals! First was Laura who wanted a truly original blog. I loved her ideas and the color choice that she picked out. She went to Shabby Pickle Designs and found re{fresh} by Nikki Beaudreau. It took about a week to get permission from Nikki but once we did, I got her blog design together really quickly. She has a private blog so you won't be able to see all of it but one of the things that I thought was really cute was her list on the side of her blog. She made a list of all of her favorite things like: Dr. Pepper, Watching The Cowboys, Date night with DD, and my personal favorite- Dr. Pepper, but Coke with Mexican Food. She's too cute!

Next, I redesigned a blog for a gal named Amy. Last fall, I attended Ladies Bible Class at my former church and Amy was in my small group. I noticed her immediately because she had the friendliest smile and the cutest little boy that I had ever seen (besides mine!). He seriously laid in her lap the whole time and slept ever so sweetly. She and her family have since moved to Switzerland and it was by happening upon her blog and talking to friends that I found out that we went to Harding at the same time. We were also in the same club! I was only active in the club for a short time and my memory is mush when it comes to meeting people, but I knew that I had met her before. Anyways, she picked out a cute kit originally for Christmas but we made it work. I like that she wanted the Sassy Design and I especially love reading her blog and learning about all the different places that they visit. Check it out!

Lastly, I just wanted to let everyone know that my hubby and I will be out of town for 5 days starting Friday. We are going to look at homes and schools in a different state! He got a job far away from Dallas and we are excited about the new opportunities that have been given to us. The good news is that since I work on-line, everything should be back to business right after we move. I would go crazy if I couldn't redesign blogs anymore! I love each new opportunity. So, if you are on the waiting list please know that I will get to you at the end of next week. I'm really excited about some of the orders I have coming up!

Also, if you want to take advantage of the 10% off discount, contact me NOW!! I will be checking my email even in another state!!

The Gift Closet

I just finished my most challenging of blogs ever and I am elated! Heather at The Gift Closet contacted me about doing a Cr3zy Layout- 3 glorious columns- because she has quite a cute little business going on there. She is very crafty and is selling some great items- I'll let you know how great the Soy Body Butter is when I receive it! She also features creative and talented ladies in a Friday column and has been featured herself in some very popular Mom Blogs.

She really liked the Damask & Dots kit from The Shabby Shoppe and since I had already done it once for Blessed Beyond Measure, I was hoping that I could show another side to the kit and not have it look the same. I think it looks great and with Heather's wonderful ideas, it came together quite nicely.

So I want to thank Heather for making me think outside the box this week and figure out how to do things that I always wanted to know how to do. Travel on over to The Gift Closet and buy something for yourself today! Also, let her know how great her blog looks! :)

New Blog For Contest Winner

After being out of town with NO internet capability, I finally emerged this week to find that almost everyone on my waiting list is now ready for their blog. YEA!! I will get to each of you in a timely manner and am still taking orders for the 10% off. Don't let that sweet deal slip you by. Think about all of the holidays coming up and all those cute pictures that you want to show off on your sweet cheeky design.

I did take time out to start and finish Heather, the lucky contest winner's blog, and it is really cute. I LOVE the kit that she picked out. I haven't seen any brown with pink and blue until she happened across this one. And, she was so great to work with. I had so much fun putting pictures of her cute little boy on her blog.

The best part is that her husband is a photographer, thus the adorable pics. Visit them at STUDIO BLUE. Also, Heather is making some pretty great things at SEW CUTE GIFTS. I just received the cutest little niece and I know she will look WAY cute in one of her little princess tees.

Click on the header to go to Stepp By Stepp...........everytime I write it, I get that song from the tv show stuck in my head! :)

Drawing and More Blogs

I had so much fun with the drawing, guys! Thank you so much for entering. I hope I can do at least one more this year. Please email me (the Contact Me button on the side) if you are interested in the 10% discount for entering the drawing. I can only honor that until December 1, 2008, so don't wait! Do it now!! :)

One of the blogs that I recently redesigned was for my sweet new friend, Jennifer. She has two of the cutest little boys and we found things we had in common immediately. Whole Foods forever! Anyways, I made her a blog and she made me a necklace. I LOVE my mommy necklace that she made for me! I have gotten so many compliments on it! She also made me a scrabble "T" to go on the cord when I want to mix it up. Here is a picture of the necklace, only mine has my kids names on it- I was too lazy to take a picture of it so I took one off her blog! Her website is Unique Jewelry. Check out all her cool designs!

I also redesigned my friend, Liesl's blog. She is one of the sweetest people that I have ever met and has a great story about how she came to be the mother of two precious children. She liked the Carousel Design from The Shabby Shoppe but really wanted blue to be added to her blog. I think it turned out really cute.

The last thing that I worked on this week was my FABULOUS 3 Column Blog!! I hadn't had time to sit down and do one but with Riley not starting school until this week, I had time in the morning to get it together. It's the new Cr3zy layout! I have all the layouts listed on the side under layouts! Just a little somein' showing yalls what I can do! :)

Have a great week!

Peace Like A River

Today I made a sample of another type of blog I can make. Once I sat down to do it, I had so much fun putting things together. The background is a quilt-like pattern so I made all the side elements a little different. I really like that yellow harlequin pattern so I think that "blog lists" is my favorite.

Two More

I have been a little busy lately but I am loving it! I have had some of the most interesting people contact me to redesign their blogs.

The first was Robin. She told me a great little story about how she came to be The Spotted Bird. She wanted to update her blog based on a spotted bird and loved all the colors in the kit, Love Me Love Me that we used. I had a lot of fun designing her blog and after I found that polka dot bird, I think everything came together nicely.

The next blog that I had the pleasure of redesigning was for an old friend, Amber. We used to worship together at the same church and her family is so special. She has the most beautiful kids and once I took a look at the pictures that her sister took of them, I knew that I couldn't use many in black and white. Those beautiful blue eyes on both kids were mesmerizing!

Contact me if you want me to redesign your blog. I can get to it fairly quickly even though I have a short waiting list!

Almost Home Blog

I am currently working on a website for my dear friend, Stephanie's store, Almost Home. In the meantime, I went ahead and made her a blog. I love these colors together, and YES, it is over the top and she loves it! Check out the cool slideshow that photobucket can make for you. All you have to do is put in your pictures. Do they seriously come up with something new to do to your blog everyday?
